A fussy baby is often a hungry baby. Pay attention to the type of cry your baby is making, if the cry begins with a "Nah" or "Laah" sound, it's often a hunger cry. Babies have a sucking reflex which pushes the tongue on the roof of their mouth, so a hunger cry will usually start out with an "n" or "l" sound. The best way to tell if your baby is hungry is to offer them a bottle, if they take it, problem solved. If not, check for a dirty diaper, rash or stomach gas.
