My boots are stained after walking through snow, and it looks like white rings from the salt. Best way to remove it from suede? Rubber?

Dilute white vinegar into water at 1:16 ratio. Use this mixture to wipe off salt stains from any surface using a sponge or rag. Rinse with a wet rag or sponge. Dry with a dry cloth and let the boot or shoe air-dry naturally without help of heat, to protect the leather.
If the salt stain is still visible, try increasing the strength of your solution by removing some of it and adding vinegar.
Be careful if you're cleaning a light colored fabric, to use the same shade or lighter rag. Otherwise, the color of the rag could come onto what you're cleaning.
